Aubin

Garment makers at Cookson & Clegg in Blackburn, which makes Aubin's British-made coats

Aubin launched in 2008 as the older sibling of Jack Wills, and its founder, Peter Williams, now owns it independently. In its first chapter it ran ten shops and six concessions in Selfridges, and opened the Aubin Cinema with Soho House in 2009. That chapter ended in 2012, which Aubin puts down to decisions by corporate management. In September 2021 a small team of former staff brought the brand back, returning to its long-standing suppliers. It draws on British heritage, mostly post-war British design, and is a B Corporation. Most of the suppliers it lists are family-run businesses it says it has known for decades, in Britain and in several other countries.

Clothing

Britdex shows the Raleigh Wool Coat, Aran Jumper and William Smock from Aubin's British Made edit, where each piece is labelled made in Great Britain. The rest of Aubin's range carries other labels, such as made in Italy, or none.

Only the pieces listed here, all from Aubin's British Made edit, have been checked as made in Britain. Other Aubin clothing may be made elsewhere.
