Tricker's

Joseph Tricker founded the company in 1829, and five generations later it is still owned by the founding family. Since 1904 its home has been the factory at 56–60 St Michael's Road, Northampton, which remains the base for all its making. It became known for heavy brogues and boots made for country walking, town and shooting. Each pair spends about eight weeks in the factory, passing through some 260 processes by hand and machine. The then Prince of Wales granted a Royal Warrant in 1989 and visited for the 190th anniversary in 2019; in 2024 the warrant was renewed to him as King Charles III.

Where they're made
Northampton
Made in Britain, in Northampton. Tricker's makes every pair at its own factory on St Michael's Road, which is the base for all of the company's manufacturing.
Made in Britain — how we know
Tricker's own website says its Northampton factory is the base for all its manufacturing and that every shoe and boot is made there from start to finish. Its men's boots page adds that all shoemaking is kept in-house at that factory. Checked October 2026.
