The notebooks listed here are made at Smythson's own workshop in Hertfordshire, where each one passes through at least 15 artisans and 22 production stages. The books are handmade with Smythson's Featherweight paper, which is milled in Scotland.

Where they're made
Hertfordshire
Made in Britain at Smythson's own workshop in Hertfordshire, though it doesn't name the town. This covers the notebooks shown here. Their Featherweight paper is milled in Scotland.
Made in Britain — how we know
In October 2026 we read Smythson's own product pages, which list each notebook as made in England, and its notebook guide and diaries-and-books page, which place the making at its Hertfordshire workshop.
