Made in BritainUnited KingdomEngland

Onoto marked its 120th anniversary in 2025. Its pens are made by hand in England by a small team of goldsmith jewellers and pen-masters, working in the company's own workshop, where the skills run to vitreous enamelling over guilloche engraving. The barrels of its anniversary Heritage pens carry the engraving 'Onoto the Pen - Made in England'.

The home office

Shown here are the Heritage Timeless Edition, a numbered limited-edition pen in vintage-style ebonite, and the walnut Pen & Ink Desk Tray, with the Journal & Organiser and the Onoto Notebook, whose paper comes from a British mill.

Had you heard of Onoto before today?

Only the products listed here are covered. Many other Onoto pen pages don't state where the pen is made, so we haven't listed them.

Where they're made

United Kingdom · England

Made in Britain. The Heritage Timeless Edition and Walnut Pen & Ink Desk Tray are made in England; the Notebook and Journal & Organiser are handcrafted in Britain. Onoto doesn't name a town for any of them.

Made in Britain — how we know

In October 2026 we read Onoto's own pages. The Timeless Edition's page gives the 'Made in England' barrel engraving, and its Craftsmanship page and anniversary article say its pens are made in England. The tray, notebook and journal pages each say where they're made.
