Samuel Groves is a Birmingham metalworking firm, owned by U Group Ltd since 2014. Its own account of the work covers cutting, pressing, spinning, welding and fabricating metal, plus injection moulding, and the company makes its own tooling and finishes its work by hand. New developments are made at the U Group premises in Yardley, Birmingham. The Samuel Groves facility on Waterloo Road, Yardley, is also home to Pans for Life, a refurbishment service that polishes old pans, re-coats worn non-stick surfaces and re-seasons cast iron.

The cookware

Shown here is the Britannia Cast Iron range: frying pans and griddles, including a double burner griddle that sits across two rings. The frying pan's own page says it is cast and finished by hand.
