Heritage Excell

Made in BritainPortsmouth, Hampshire
Copper being hand-spun at the Heritage Excell workshop in Portsmouth

The Heritage, Excell is the cookware name of Excell Metal Spinning, a metal-spinning firm in Portsmouth, and it has been making copper pans since 2025. Each pan starts at Excell's Portsmouth works, where copper discs are cut to size and then spun into shape on lathes by the firm's metalworkers. The bodies travel to Fareham for handle casting and to the Midlands for tin lining, then come back to Excell for assembly, inspection and laser marking. Each handle is fixed with three solid copper rivets. The brand describes the whole process as taking place in Britain, from the first spin to the final inspection.

Made in Britain — how we know

In October 2026 we read The Heritage, Excell's own website (homepage, Our Story, shop and product pages) and Excell Metal Spinning's case study. Both say every step of making the pans happens in Britain, and they set out where each step takes place.
