A hand arranging pink card pattern pieces on a cutting table in the Grenfell factory

Grenfell began in 1923, and in the century since it has only ever made its garments in its own factories. Today all of them are made in its own factory in East London. The work is done by the brand's own team of craftspeople, some of whom have been there for decades, and the garments are checked at each stage of production. Cloth, fabrics and trims are bought in from outside suppliers, some of them British mills. Several of its designs are made from Grenfell Cloth, a cotton fabric that carries the brand's name.

The clothing

Shown here are Grenfell's coats and jackets: the Harrington and Golfer jackets and the Windsor coat in cotton Grenfell Cloth, and the Chatham peacoat in merino wool.

Where they're made

East London

Made in Grenfell's own factory in East London. The brand says all of its garments are made there; cloth and trims come from outside suppliers, some of them British mills.

Made in Britain — how we know

In October 2026 we read Grenfell's Made in England and Production pages, which say all its garments are made in its own East London factory. We also checked each product page shown here: every one lists 'Made in London, England'.
