Blackshore

Blackshore began in 2017 on the harbour at Southwold in Suffolk, where a stretch known as the Blackshore took coal deliveries for centuries and its mud banks turned black. The clothes draw on fishermen, yachtsmen and boat builders and on trips along the Suffolk and Norfolk coast, and are designed for anyone, of any age. In October 2023 the shop and workshop moved to Holt in North Norfolk; the workshop has since moved again, to Rackheath, near Norwich. Garments are handmade in that workshop or come from small makers around the British Isles. Blackshore prefers slow, careful making to fast fashion, uses mostly British-milled cloth and offers visible repairs for life.

Where they're made
Rackheath, Norfolk
Made in Britain in Blackshore's own workshop in Rackheath, Norfolk. The brand says its smocks, jackets, shirts and trousers are handmade there, and that its knitwear comes from small makers elsewhere in the UK.
Made in Britain — how we know
In October 2026 we read Blackshore's homepage. It says all its garments are made and sourced in Britain, that its smocks, jackets, shirts and trousers are handmade in its own Norfolk workshop, and it gives that workshop's address in Rackheath.
