Glencroft

Richard and Justina Sexton started Glencroft in 1987 as a range of countrywear in natural fibres: British wool, Harris Tweed and sheepskin. The family business is based in a converted cow barn, around 200 years old, in Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and their son Edward now helps run it. Richard, in the wool and sheepskin trade since the 1960s, remembers the North of England's many woollen mills; Glencroft still works with some of the few left. The name pairs "Glen", for its Scottish links, with "Croft", for rural life in the Dales.
